Elham Valley Vineyard

Established in 1985, our Elham Valley Vineyard produces a collection of elegant wines. As one of the first vineyards established in this part of Kent, we’re proud to be part of the region’s rich viticultural heritage and to witness its growing recognition in the world of English wine.

New vines were planted in 2011. Since then, the grapes have been carefully nurtured and harvested by The Fifth Trust’s horticulture students, staff, and volunteers. In early 2024, we planted around 500 new Solaris vines – a resilient hybrid ideal for crafting dry white wines.

Visitors are invited to stroll along our beautiful garden walkway through rows of around 2,000 vines and enjoy a warm welcome at our café.

Our wine is made less than five miles away by local producer Defined Wine, ensuring a low-impact journey from vine to bottle.
