In Photography, you will learn how to take great photos and use different kinds of cameras and equipment. You will have plenty of opportunities to practise because our rural setting gives us beautiful landscapes and nature to photograph.

We also visit places like towns and the seaside to get new ideas for your photos. You can even visit local photo exhibitions for inspiration.

When we work indoors, you will learn about the theory behind photography.

This includes:

  • How light affects your photos
  • How to use camera settings
  • How to arrange things in your photos (called composition)
  • How to edit photos
  • How to use artificial lighting to make your photos look better

We have a photo studio with a light table and light box, where you can practise taking photos indoors.
