We’re excited to announce The Fifth Trust’s Big Give Christmas Challenge 2025! This year, we’re fundraising to create a fully accessible Tipi and Outdoor Active hub, giving our students – adults with learning disabilities – the chance to learn bushcraft, fire-making, carving, and woodland management all year round. And all donations are doubled!

Why this matters

Of 869,000 UK adults with learning disabilities, most remain at home, isolated, and under-stimulated. Our person-centred day services are transformative – 96% of students say they feel happy and proud of their work. Expanding Outdoor Active will give students meaningful, nature-based learning that improves wellbeing, builds confidence, and develops practical skills.

Your support will help students:

• Improve physical and mental wellbeing through outdoor exercise and sensory engagement.
• Learn practical skills like fire-making, shelter building, and bushcraft.
• Connect with nature and take supervised risks safely.
