At The Fifth Trust, we know that the most meaningful partnerships are built on shared values, genuine connections and a commitment to making a difference. That’s why we were delighted to welcome our Charity of the Year partner, MattressNextDay to our sites this week. The visit marked a wonderful moment in our partnership as the MattressNextDay team presented us with an incredible cheque for £2,396. Every pound raised will help us continue creating life-changing opportunities for adults with learning disabilities, and we are enormously grateful to MattressNextDay and everyone who has supported their fundraising efforts so far.
Beyond the generous donation, what made the day so special was the opportunity to spend time with their team. Members of MattressNextDay enjoyed a tour of both of our sites, giving them a first-hand look at the wide range of opportunities available to our students. From Woodwork, Cook Club and Design to Horticulture and Multi-skills, they were able to see the impact of our work in action. They also met and chatted with many of our students, hearing their stories and learning more about the confidence, independence and friendships that are nurtured every day at The Fifth Trust.
The visit included a stroll through our beautiful vineyard, a stop at our café and time exploring our extensive horticulture site, where students develop valuable skills while helping to maintain and grow the space. It was fantastic to share not only what we do, but why it matters.
We’re especially pleased that the feedback from the MattressNextDay team was so positive. Seeing the difference their support makes has strengthened an already fantastic relationship, and we’re excited to continue working together through the rest of 2026. Corporate partnerships like this are about so much more than fundraising. They create opportunities for businesses to connect with their local community, engage their teams in meaningful experiences and play a direct role in helping the adults we support achieve their goals and increase mental wellbeing.
