Family Fun Day raises over £7,000!

A huge thank you to everyone who supported the Family Fun Day held at Godmersham Park on 15 July to raise funds for the Greenbanks skills centre redevelopment project.

Family Fun Day
The day started with a cricket match which included Fifth Trust students, their families, members of the community, staff, volunteers and friends. It was a great success and prizes were awarded at the end of the match by Richard Ansell, who did an amazing job providing the music for the day and a non-stop party atmosphere.

Fifth Trust Patron Pam Ferris entertained visitors with a Q & A session in the Orangery and kindly presented all the prizes at the end of the day. These included a bottle of Bollinger for each of the adult ‘Welly Wanging’ champs!

Even a passing shower failed to spoil the fun, as children and adults alike continued to enjoy the wide variety of sideshows, games and attractions on offer. The giant ball pool became a paddling pool for a short while… and the children enjoyed that just as much, if not more!

The event raised over £7,000 for the appeal – a fantastic achievement. Many thanks to everyone who helped with donations, assisted on the day or came along to support.

A special thank you to Fiona Sunley for allowing us to use beautiful Godmersham Park for the event and to Fifth Trust trustee Anita Robson, whose tireless efforts and organisational skills ensured the day was such a huge success.
